Another Day, Another Simple Zoë Kravitz Outfit I Just Can't Fault

We all know Zoë Kravitz is cool and that her coolness was inevitable before she was but a twinkle in her parents' eyes. With actress and bohemian goddess Lisa Bonet as her mother and rock legend Lenny Kravitz as her father, it was already written in genetic code/the stars that her style would be effortless, her skills infinite and her wardrobe impeccable. It's not fair for the rest of us to be dealt this card, of course, but it does still mean that we have a fashion icon to go in the history books and provide us with some pretty great casual ensembles along the way. Recently, Kravitz has been hitting the streets of NYC looking particularly great, approaching her hot-weather ensembles with a laid-back attitude and using the kind of pared-back pieces we actually all have in our closets. No wild TikTok trends or challenging runway getups, just simple, relatable outfits anyone can get on board with. And, perhaps most importantly, these looks don't require an A-list budget to come to life.

From the slip-skirt-and-vest-top combo she's been wearing on repeat through to the below white embroidered minidress-and–Mary Janes formula, there's plenty of inspiration to take from this celebrity. Yes, she can do red carpet va-va-voom, but we will always turn back to ZK time and again for daytime looks. Keep scrolling to see some of our favourite summer outfits and to shop her capsule wardrobe.

Style Notes: Alongside what looks like a vintage dress, Kravitz's accessory game is strong. From the Mary Jane ballet pumps to her net bag and red scrunchie, this is a great example of how unique extras make an outfit.

Style Notes: There is clearly a theme to her wardrobe right now: whimsical white dresses and scrunchies.

Style Notes: The simple combination of unusual colours can make a plain outfit speak volumes.

Style Notes: Also, she has a Telfar bag, which is about as hot as they come right now.

Style Notes: Is there no shortage to this woman's white-dress collection? Anything that resembles a vintage nightie is very ZK.

Style Notes: This is a sassier look for the recent Saint Laurent show, but we had to include it. So fab.

Style Notes: Where our renewed love started: This green slip and white vest just resonated.

Style Notes: It's the midi heels and slouchy hobo bag that bring extra interest to what's an essentially quite basic outfit.

Style Notes: Strapless tube top and hair accessories? So '90s but so desirable.

Style Notes: Yes, that pretty dress can work with a baseball cap.
