Young Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie Had the Dream A/W 18 Wardrobe

When it comes to throwback style inspiration, we say the more obscure the better, so when we stumbled across these photographic gems of young princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, we couldn't contain our delight. Let's just say that there was some serious Olsen twin–inspired action going on in the '90s, with the sisters being dressed in all manner of adorable matching outfits.

The more we looked at these flashbacks, the more we realised that the princesses' outfits are so A/W 18. Hear us out: From heritage-check blazers and bumbags to prairie dresses and double denim, these little style icons are ticking all the new season boxes—'90s style is having a moment, after all. So if you're bored of the same-old celebs and influencers, why not go off-piste and take your cues from these mini royals. Scroll down to enjoy the throwback moments and shop the looks.

Style Notes: Princess Eugenie rocks the heritage check in this equestrian-inspired getup. & Other Stories has some great grown-up updates this season, which we'll wear with straight leg jeans and white boots.

Style Notes: Whether you love or loathe them, it's time to embrace the fact that prairie dresses are back this season. The young princesses obviously appreciated the appeal of a ditzy floral and balloon sleeves, and you can get the same '90s appeal in Bathseva's ruffled designs.

Style Notes: Another matchy-matchy look for Beatrice and Eugenie. These green baseball jackets have a definite A/W 18 vibe to them, and we'll be copying the look with Arket's classic navy bomber.

Style Notes: Okay, so technically this is a ski suit, but we can totally imagine a cool Scandi blogger wearing a similar combination of colourful jumpsuit and bumbag (oh, and let's not ignore those round mirrored sunnies). Beatrice was so ahead of her time.

Style Notes: Double denim was a classic '90s look that's been embraced by the blogging crowd this year. Weekday is our go-to high-street store for denim jackets right now—just pair with G-Star's A-line denim skirt for a ready-made outfit.

BLUE CHECKS

Style Notes: These plaid dresses have Ganni A/W 18 written all over them. We might not copy their blue bows (or will we…?), but we’ll definitely be taking inspiration from this blue check when updating our autumn dress collections.
