7 Perfect Outfits to Wear This December

December is obviously one of the best months. There’s Christmas, New Year’s Eve, lots of excuses for eating cheese and chocolate and plenty of opportunities for drinking wine. The one thing I don’t love? Getting dressed as the days get even shorter and shorter. It’s the month when you have to really adjust to the temperature, colds are rife and the phrase “I don’t know why I feel so tired” is uttered by every colleague in every office all over the UK.

To help you be able to roll out of bed that little bit easier, it would be good to have a bank of super chic but simple outfits to have on hand, so there’s one less thing to think about. I scoured the Instagram accounts of some of my favourite influencers for the best ensembles for December. As we already have plenty of party looks covered, these are more for the times when you’re going to work, meeting friends for brunch, or just going out for a walk in that time between Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Keep scrolling for the best outfits to wear during December.

1. TRENCH + ROLL NECK + BOOTS

Style Notes: Try a green trench if you’re a little bored by the classic beige version. Add a black roll neck and black boots for a great bit of layering.

Style Notes: There’s nothing easier to wear than a knitted dress. Just pair with a chic brown coat and a pair of black sunglasses.

Style Notes: The white jeans and white top combo doesn’t seem exactly wintry. But pair with an orange coat and a brown scarf and you’ve got yourself a fantastic ensemble.

Style Notes: Such a simple but effective look. Layer a cardigan under your black coat and wear with high waisted jeans and flat black boots.

Style Notes: For the chicest of weekend outfits during December, there’s nothing better than a lot of grey. Pair an oversized grey coat with a grey scarf and wear with jeans and platform white trainers.

Style Notes: The knitted co-ord is super cool, as proven by Brittany Bathgate. Opt for an oatmeal colour and wear with black boots.

Style Notes: If muted tones aren’t your thing, then go for a bold blue faux fur coat layered over a pink floral dress.
