There are plenty of items to snag on this season's biggest shopping day of the year, but today we’re focusing on the one item to leave off your list this Black Friday. This knowledge comes to us from SheFinds, which recently shared insight from online shopping expert Michelle Madhok on the biggest Black Friday shopping mistake.
According to the Madhok, the number one item to avoid is winter accessories. The reasoning? "They get marked down more as the season goes on," she explained. She makes such a good point; come early December, cold-weather items like gloves, hats, and scarves are nearly 50 to 70 per cent off. So even though these winter essentials are easy items to snag while you’re sale shopping, this year remember to fight the temptation and wait one to two short weeks for the major markdowns.
Black Friday shopping is a great way to knock several items off your Christmas gift-giving list, though. So instead of stocking up on gloves and cosy accessories, focus on larger purchases like designer shoes or classic jewellery and items you’ll be gifting this year.
