WhoWhatWear.com.com is looking for a new Senior Fashion Editor either in New York or Los Angeles. We’re searching for a highly skilled candidate, who works well in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in both fashion and online writing. 

Position: Senior Fashion Editor at WhoWhatWear.com

Job Description: Clique Media—parent company to WhoWhatWear.comDomaineHome.com, and Byrdie.com—is currently seeking a full-time Senior Fashion Editor to join its fast-paced WhoWhatWear.com editorial team in Los Angeles or New York City. The ideal candidate is an accomplished online editor with a comprehensive knowledge of celebrity fashion trends, runway and street style trends, and fashion brands, as well as exceptionally strong writing skills. WhoWhatWear.com’s Fashion Features Editor must also have strong visual sensibilities and the ability to make fashion market recommendations that are suitable and appropriate for the site’s content. The position offers enormous potential for growth within the company, and is an integral part of this exciting multi-media fashion and beauty start-up.

-Writing, editing, and conceiving approximately five stories per day, across all fashion/style categories.
-Photo and product research, including downloading and gathering credits and managing image assets.
-Producing stories and newsletters in the CMS.
-Writing social copy around each story.
-Tracking and updating the editorial team on street style, runway, and micro trends.

-Working closely with the Entertainment Director to land exclusive celebrity fashion features.
-Staying up to date on fashion/style news for timely stories (in addition to daily features), relevant videos, and social engagement.
-Maintaining close relationships with New York- and Los Angeles-based fashion publicists.
-Working closely with celebrity stylists’ agencies for breaking news and exclusive features.
-Recruiting, training, and teaching interns to help with all of the above.
-Tracking and optimising the site’s traffic and referrals, on both a weekly and monthly basis.

Skills and Qualifications: 
-5+ years of experience in journalism, with the bulk of experience in digital and a proven background in fashion.
-Must have a strong grasp of the latest street style and runway trends.
-Must have a discerning eye for aesthetics and an exceptional taste level. 

-Experience producing a high volume of daily stories as well as daily pick up reporting, in-depth investigative pieces, opinion pieces, and/or personal essays.
-Educated in SEO best practices and social media.
-Bachelor’s degree.
-Strong grammar, research, and copy-editing skills, as well as a deep love of fashion writing.
-Firsthand experience with daily publishing in a CMS, plus familiarity with HTML and web-publishing software tools.
-A comprehensive knowledge of celebrities, models, tastemakers, bloggers, designers, and stylists.
-Ability to work calmly under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and provide self-direction.
-Strong contacts/relationships with fashion industry press teams and celebrity publicists.
-Familiarity with WhoWhatWear.com’s voice and style.
-A team player, with a resourceful, can-do attitude, who thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.

Compensation: This is a full-time salaried position located in Los Angeles or New York City. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
