I think September to November might be my favourite time of year. Re-energised after the long summer months, I'm looking forward to crisper weather, candlelit evenings and wrapping up in cashmere. Of course, as the fashion set will know, these autumn pleasures come second to the joy we feel when able to showcase a little more of our wardrobes. With autumn’s advent comes the layering potential of dreams, and the hero item that facilitates it all is a classic trench coat.
We're constantly on the lookout for the trench that does it best, noting contenders that offer dropped shoulders, a chic collar and roomy pockets, all in that perfect shade of beige.
