I See This Topshop Dress as Often as That Zara Spotty Midi

Zara's spotty midi dress has become so viral this summer that even The New York Times reported on how it "conquered" Britain. Dozens of news stories, opinion pieces and in-depth features have now been penned about this £40 dress, along with Instagram accounts dedicated to its daily sightings in the wild.

It's a level of analysis that's usually seen only with royal wedding dresses or an Angelina Jolie–style Oscars dress. It's safe to say Zara has certainly created the dress of the summer. However, there's another high-street midi dress I now see just as often: a sleeveless floral baby-blue midi dress with a tiered skirt from Topshop.

This midi ticks many of the same boxes as the Zara dress: It has a cheery print, a flattering, comfortable silhouette, and only costs £39. Despite seeing this in the lineup of every hen-party group shot on Instagram this month and on the tube every single day, the dress still remains in plentiful stock in the majority of sizes.
