Linnea Jacobsen

The late Diana Vreeland-the legendary Editor-In-Chief of Vogue in the '60s and consultant to the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art-once said "Style is something you're born with, you don't acquire it." Now, while the latter part of her statement isn't necessarily true for everyone, the former is one hundred per cent the case when it comes to today's Style Stalker subject, Linnea Jacobson! At a mere 14-years-old, this Sweden native has already proven she's got exceptional taste when it comes to fashion and, as her style blog can attest, knows a thing or two about putting together some pretty enviable ensembles that are not only flawlessly executed and on-trend, but age-appropriate too!

In addition to Jacobson's to-die-for red locks, we couldn't help but notice her casually cool approach to dressing. Yes, we love a girl who can trade in her heels for a pair of Dr. Martens now and then, but of course, that's not her only appeal. By opting for pieces that simply skim the body, Jacobson prevents her outfits from feeling too stuffy and sophisticated. We also appreciate her ability to seamlessly inject her ensembles with vivid hues. Whether it's layering a black maxi dress with a bright green knit cardigan, punching up a casual t-shirt and shorts combo with red accents, or simply livening up a neutral look with a canary yellow bag and flats, it's clear Jacobson has an eye for colour. Clothing aside, Jacobson's selection of accessories-including a peacock pendant necklace, a structured satchel, and bowler hat-are equally spot-on! Happily, Jacobson was kind enough to give us all the must-know details on all of today's featured looks and share her favourite trends, style icons, and places to shop! Read on to find out more about Jacobson and how you can create likeminded looks!-Jessica Baker

Please describe your personal style in two sentences or less.
Modern mixed with vintage style meets "Less is more" with a little dash of hippie!

How does the city you live in inspire your day-to-day style?
My city is pretty grey and boring because of the long winter, and it may sound weird, but I feel like that sadness inspires me to wear a lot of happy colours, patterns, and materials!

List some of your favourite current trends and why you appreciate them/how you are wearing them.
1) Polo shirt! I just bought two of them! Such a simple but super awesome trend. I'd wear my black polo under a sweater with a pair of jeans and high heels or oxfords!
2) Mustard yellow! That colour is amazing right know and I will for the most part be wearing that colour for accessories I think!

Who are some of your style icons and why?
I find a lot of models around the world such interesting inspirations, such as Freja Beha Erichsen and her tomboy style and hair, Frida Gustavsson, Bambi Northwood-Blyth, and sSky Ferreira too! They're all so unique in their own way, especially Frida Gustavsson! I'd kill for her closet! I also get a lot of inspiration from pretty people on of course!

Name one go-to piece in your closet and why.
My oxfords from Zara are always there for every occasion and make the outfit more personal! I knew from the moment I bought them that I loved them, but I never thought I'd use them this much!

What are some of your favourite places to shop?
I buy more than half of my clothes from charity shops and second-hand markets. Buying clothes second-hand is both good for your wallet and the environment! It also makes you unique by wearing something that nobody else has too. Otherwise, I love, and the Cobrashop. They're all really great online stores!
