As always, Katie Holmes's finger rests on the pulse of the strongest fashion trends of the season, jumping at the chance to put her twist on the hottest styles of right now.

Known to favour a ballet flat as of recently, this week Holmes was spotted shaking things up in a wedge shoe in a trending silver shade.

A forever-fan of the classic white tee, Katie styled up her metallic shoes with a crisp t-shirt and a satin paper-bag skirt from MaxMara.

Coordinating her tee to her bag, Holmes opted for a white leather style from Proenza Schouler. She styled her minimal look with layered necklaces, forgoing bracelets or earrings on this occasion.

We've seen metallic silver crop up in the form of trousers, skirts, blazers and shoes this season, and if we weren't already convinced to jump on the trend, Katie certainly has us reconsidering.
