Sienna Miller Just Wore the Dress Trend That'll Dominate the Next 6 Months

What we love most about Sienna Miller’s style is how unpredictable it is; you never know what she might choose to wear next. Unconcerned with maintaining a specific aesthetic, Miller dresses based on how she feels and what she’s drawn to. We may spot her wearing ripped jeans, Birkenstock Bostons and a puffer jacket on the school run one day, only for her to turn out looking polished in tailored trousers, a cashmere knit and heels for the same endeavour the very next day. Truly, it’s fascinating to watch.

Sienna Miller wore a blue cut-out dress to The Sandman premiere.

Seeing as she’s had a slew of major projects come to fruition this year, we’ve been treated to more Miller sightings—and in turn, Miller outfits—than we have in a long while. Her latest ensemble continues to hold her sartorial bar high. Last night, she attended the premiere of the film The Sandman, held at BFI Southbank in London. Although she doesn’t star in it herself, she was there to support her ex Tom Sturridge for his role in the film, and naturally, she did so in style.

The Self-Portrait dress features fluted sleeves and a midi hemline.

For the occasion, Miller chose a knitted midi dress with an on-trend sweetheart neckline and bell sleeves from Self-Portrait, the brand editors and influencers wear regularly. Of course, the knitted-dress trend always comes into its own in autumn when we look to trade in our lightweight linens and other fabrications for something a little heavier. But true to form, Miller is one step ahead of the curve in her blue midi, which she paired with white sandals and a bag to match. I could also see this dress working with minimal slider sandals, should you want to give it a relaxed spin.

As part of the brand’s new collection, you’ll be pleased to hear, Sienna Miller’s Self-Portrait knit dress remains in stock. Scroll down to see it and the black iteration. Then continue on to shop our edit of other knitted dresses you can start wearing now and keep wearing well into winter.
