Réalisation Par Create the Sex and the City Newspaper Dress

As far as iconic fashion moments go, Sex and the City serves them up in spades. From Carrie's fur coat to her embellished mules, we're still looking to the fictional character to inspire our own wardrobes. But there are few outfits that stand out more than that newspaper dress.

SATC die-hards will remember the slinky bias cut number from season three of the series (episode 17, for those wanting to rewatch), when Carrie asks for Natasha's forgiveness after sleeping with her then-husband Big. Styled with her equally iconic namesake necklace and big hair, it was a moment. What Carrie had done was scandalous, and the dress encapsulated that. It then appeared again in the arguably less iconic 2010 film Sex and the City 2 (pictured below), but it's reappearance is testament to its enduring appeal.

Designed by John Galliano for Christian Dior in 2000, the dress has become synonymous with Carrie's character. So when we saw the look re-imagined by one of our favourite brands, Réalisation Par, we were excited to say the least. The dress has been updated for 2018 with a pink hue, puffed sleeve and a sweetheart neckline. The "Christian Dior Daily" text has also been swapped out to "The Réalisation Times" in a cute play on the original.

The dress has sold out multiple times, but is currently back in stock.
