Over the past year or so, one of London’s coolest brands, Self Portrait Studio, has filled a niche within the red carpet market that we never knew could exist: the affordable A-list approved dress. The brand, designed by the very clever, very talented Han Chong, has been given the green light by Beyoncé, Rachel McAdams and Kerry Washington to name but a few, taking up the prestigious place of luxury labels on many an occasion. But it's the past 24 hours that has once again put this name on the style map: both Gigi Hadid and Olivia Palermo have been spotted in Self Portrait’s peach, silk-blend Militaire Crepe Shirt Maxidress (£295) and we can see why: These are two ladies with distinctly different styles of operating and it looks equally good—not to mention unique—on them both.
Gigi, of course, unbuttons it to there and wears it in her signature head-to-toe tonal look (a wardrobe tactic we discussed with her stylist Monica Rose only yesterday), whereas Olivia keeps it demure and ladylike with a masculine watch and tan pumps.
