I Don't Do Heels, But These High-Street Platforms Are Going Right Into My Basket
If I told you that I found the perfect pair of high-street platform shoes, I would guess that Russell & Bromley wouldn't be the first place that springs to mind. Historically, it has been known for its well-made, classic shoe offering, but recently, the brand has branched out into more fashion-savvy styles. Think chunky boots, strappy heels and animal-print loafers. We're so into it. The brand's latest venture? Platform heels. Coming in pink, cream, black and silver, Russell & Bromley's fittingly named Flawless style is honestly one of the best platforms I've seen on the high street this year.
The '70s-inspired shoes were all over the runways and street style shots this season, and we have a feeling they're going to be big this year. Coming with a chunky heel, delicate ankle strap and round toe, Russell & Bromley's offering had every single Who What Wear editor swooning. Even as a flat-shoe devotee, I couldn't resist their retro charm. Emma Spedding has already invested in the brand's Topform platforms and has confirmed that they are super comfy and easy to walk in. Talk about ticking all the boxes. I love the idea of styling the pink pair with crop flare jeans and a balloon-sleeve silken top for Friday-night cocktails.
