I Just Tried the Reformation Jeans Celebs and Fashion People Won't Stop Wearing

There’s something a bit special about Reformation jeans. At least, there must be to get so many celebrities and fashion people on side. We already knew the trendy LA-based, eco-conscious brand was good for many things— like wedding-guest dresses and catchy email subject lines (seriously, props to their marketing team). But it’s only recently we’ve started to really appreciate its denim line— and it’s probably because we can’t stop seeing it everywhere.

Whether it’s Kendall Jenner and Kaia Gerber in their almost-always-sold-out newsprint jeans, Gigi and Emily Ratajkowski being cute in the doodle jeans or Ashley Graham taking on NYC in her blue skinnies, celebs are down-right obsessed. And fashion people have, unsurprisingly, caught on too. Last year's favourite had to be the squiggly Mod jeans seen on Monikh (and everyone else). Although now sold out, their legacy lives on, and I spotted a few pairs on Depop.

Fun, printed styles are all well and good, but the brand's classic styles shouldn't be overlooked. I just tried on a selection of Reformation's best jeans (yes, plural) which you can see below. They’re all extremely comfortable and, in line with the brand’s eco-credentials, made as sustainably as possible. One note, though— they do come up long so if you’re shorter like me, check out their dedicated petite styles or head to your local dry cleaners for easy alterations.

Now, to the important stuff. Keep scrolling to shop…

SHOP REFORMATION JEANS:

The Cynthia Jeans

Style Notes: I've been on the hunt for a new pair of straight leg jeans, and the Cynthia is about to become my go-to. This pair fit true to size, and I was really impressed with the high quality of the denim. What I love most is that Reformation offers a range of colourways, even just in the blue category, so you can find the perfect denim for you.

After trying on this pair I can confirm, the perfect straight leg jeans do exist.

Such a nice wash.

A wardrobe classic.

The Val Jeans

Style Notes: After hearing great things about the Val, I was keen to try them myself. With a looser shape, this pair embodies a relaxed feel, but can still be taken from day-to-night by swapping a T-shirt for a nice top. The Val does have a longer length, but most petite readers will know most local dry cleaners are able to take off a few inches whilst ensuring your denim still looks brand new.

The denim belt immediately caught my attention.

This pair fits true to size.

What Reformation gets so right is the cut of its jeans.

Just in time to refresh your wardrobe for spring.

I haven't stopped thinking about this pair since they first launched.

Style Notes: As an editor, I've tried plenty of jeans in my time, and found wide leg styles the hardest to get right. It should come as no surprise that Reformation's pair is spot on. The waist still fit perfectly, and the looser leg was cut to not overwhelm, whilst still being impactful. I'm ready to style these with boots and a leather jacket for spring evenings.

This pair comes in so many colourways. Take your pick.

This pair has become my off-duty staple.

White jeans will go with everything in your wardrobe.

With heels, flats, trainers or sandals, you'll want to wear this pair everywhere.

The Rowe Jeans

Style Notes: With spring on its way, I wanted to try a pair of cream jeans, and these seriously impressed. Despite being a denim aficionado, I rarely wear lighter shades, but this pair changed my mind. The slight relax to the shape sets it apart from other straight leg styles, and makes them feel like a treasured pair that fits to your body, rather than the other way round.

This pair is slightly more relaxed than other straight styles.

The exact pair I tried.

Made from a rigid non-stretch denim.

For those looking who appreciate an ultra high rise, this is the pair to true. Plus, these are Ashley Graham's top choice

Black jeans are sleeker than ever.

The perfect pair for those dipping into the wide leg style.

You can spring is on the way by the sheer amount of white jeans on the market.

So many fashion people swear by Reformation's Abby jeans.

Not only does Reformation do excellent classics, but they offer standout styles too like this sparkly pair.

I'm already thinking up ways to style this pair.
