Rachel Stevens Wore the Affordable Cardigan-and-Jeans Outfit I'd Like to Copy

There's a lot to like about Rachel Stevens's personal style. Her minimalist aesthetic and easy-to-wear silhouettes supply plenty of inspiration all year round. Better still, we've noticed that Stevens rewears a lot of her pieces, proving just how versatile and long-lasting great items can be. As we all look to make the most of our clothes and reduce our consumption, finding pieces that work year after year is even more important. Of course, you can play with fun new trends as they come and go, because chances are if you hold on to them, they'll come back around again.

Recently, Stevens shared some of her favourite autumn looks she's worn, and we instantly fell in love with one particular cardigan-and-jeans combination. 

Her & Other Stories black-and-white cardigan is so classic, allowing for plenty of styling options, but the jeans pairing is our current favourite. 

Personally, I am so pleased that cardigans have regained their fashionable status in recent years, as they've become one of the most versatile additions to my wardrobe. I've come to rely on cardigans for this awkward in-between weather. For days when the sun peaks through, having a cardigan to hand will save you when the evening chill sets in. Better still, for your travel temperature dilemmas, you head out for the day wrapped up to avoid the autumn chill, but when you take your first step into the tube station, you immediately regret every single layer. That's the beauty of a cardigan. Wear it done all the way up or open when you're warmer. Throw one over a dress, wear on its own with tailored trousers, or take note from Stevens, and pair it with classic denim.
