This Fall Boot Trend Is About to Blow Up, So Wear It While It's Hot

We have a major newsflash for you: Platform boots are officially trending and might just become one of fall's biggest boot trends. The runways have dabbled with the style for a few seasons, but up until now, the boot trend hasn't really stuck. However, thanks to the stylish fashion month attendees and their game-changing street style moments, we have official confirmation that platform boots are here and taking over.

For a fashion editor, there is no better feeling than watching a trend start to simmer and then erupt to a roiling boil. Over the summer, I started to spot more platform boots in the market and was anxious to see if the runway trend would actually come to fruition this fall; sure enough, it did. This iconic style from the '60s, '70s, and even the '90s adds just the right amount of character to any fall look you have hanging in your wardrobe. Take it from the street style set and accept that when it comes to how to wear these boots, the sky is really the limit.

Enhancing everything from fancy cocktail dresses to leggings and back again, platform boots have proven there isn't really an ensemble they can't make cooler, and one look at the outfits from fashion month below will confirm exactly that.
