As fashion month draws to a close, it's Paris's turn to get the street style treatment, and as per usual, the City of Lights did not disappoint. Offering up some of the most beautiful backdrops and historic show settings, Paris Fashion Week always delivers lust-worthy style inspo that will set us up for the season ahead. This season was no different.
So what themes particularly caught our eye this March? Well, let's just say that colour lovers won't be short on ideas this season, with vibrant shades of green and neon yellow splashed across a plethora of showgoers' outfits. There was also a generous dose of print-clashing and dramatic fringing, both outfit details that will instantly elevate your spring wardrobe.
If you have more of a minimalist's predisposition, worry not, because there was no shortage of immaculate tailoring and head-to-toe neutrals. However, we particularly loved the clean-lined maxi skirts and '90s-inspired leather coats that were in abundance on the streets of Paris—both ideal staples for the tricky transition between winter and spring. 1. Perfect Print-Clashing
Whether you go stripes and florals or checks and swirls, this season, the Paris Fashion Week crowd embraced the clash.
2. Wild West Accessories
They're not the most in-your-face trend, but once you start to notice the Wild West–inspired accessories, you'll see them everywhere. Think Western boots, neckerchiefs, cow print and cowboy hats.
3. Frou Frou Fringing
There was no shortage of dramatic fringing on the streets of Paris this season, with tassels adorning everything from dresses to jackets. I'll be re-creating the look with Chloé's homespun macramé sweater.
4. 50 Shades of Neon
Neon shades have been given a high-fashion makeover this year, with countless showgoers incorporating highlighter hues into their outfits, as seen here on Grece Ghanem.
5. Ankle-Skimming Skirts
Hemlines have been moving south this spring, with ankle-grazing lengths taking over from the popular midi silhouette. At the top of our wish list? Miu Miu's chic front-slit maxi skirt.
6. Tough Leather Coats
Nope, leather isn't just for winter. We lost count of the number of fab leather coats and jackets that took to the streets of Paris this season. Just throw over jeans and a T-shirt.
7. Garden Greens
It won't be a surprise to anyone to see that green has made its way onto our shortlist, with nature-inspired shades inspiring countless industry insiders' outfits at fashion week. We particularly loved this forest-green suit, which was styled with a colour-clashing purple shirt.
