My Vibe Right Now Is "Autumn in Paris"—5 Easy Outfits I'm Wearing On Repeat
This simple Instagram caption from Sylvie Mus really jumped out at me: "Autumn in Paris." There definitely is a vibe to go with "autumn in Paris." Now, I'm not actually in Paris, so I can't claim to be an expert, but after I saw the outfits of several of my favourite influencers based in Paris, it became clear that many of their current go-to outfits are in line with the kind of look I'm generally interested in right now anyway.
The silhouette in question? A pared-down look (very "French") that's easy yet elevated. I'm talking about something similar to the ensemble Mus wore in her post—a ribbed knit and jeans. I, too, am wearing a version of that look at the moment. In addition, this autumn look Aïda Sané is wearing in Paris with the oversized blazer, tee and loose jeans also fits within my current aesthetic.
With all this in mind, keep scrolling for simple outfit ideas that could be worth trying if you are into that Parisian vibe, like me.
1. JEANS + A CREAM KNIT + MULES
Style Notes: This is the outfit that inspired the caption in question. I love how simple yet chic it is with the cream knit and loose jeans.
Shop the look:
The 'favourite' cut jeans are, well, a favourite among fashion editors and influencers.
2. JEANS + WHITE SHIRT + TRAINERS
Style Notes: A white shirt is a classic and works flawlessly tucked into jeans with sneakers. A sweater wrapped around the shoulders makes the idea of layering seem much more appealing.
Shop the look:
Arket's cropped jeans are the perfect length to wear with trainers.
This will be so cosy around your neck (and when you wear it, of course.)
Here to update all your autumn outfits, now and forever.
3. JEANS + BLAZER + LOAFERS
Style Notes: I'm all about an oversized blazer this season styled in an easy way—with a white T-shirt, straight-leg jeans and loafers. You could also wrap a knit around your shoulders or layer over a wool coat for extra cosiness.
Shop the look:
It's tricky to find a great white T-shirt, but COS is one of the best we've tried.
4. BAGGY TROUSERS + LEATHER + CHUNKY BOOTS
Style Notes: You can do tonal without being too strict about it. The beige hues here look great set against black. Add a leather shacket or trench and you're set.
Shop the look:
This look will be work just as well with tailored trousers as it will with cargos.
5. BLACK TROUSERS + BLUE SHIRT + WHITE TANK
Style Notes: I will definitely be testing out this ensemble of a shirt-and-vest combination worn over tailored skinny trousers. Effortless.
Shop the look:
Sunglasses are still an essential accessory, even for autumn/winter.
