City Guide: How Who What Wear Editors Do Palm Springs

One of the absolute best things about Who What Wear's home base of Los Angeles is the access we have to amazing travel optionswe're not too far from the pristine beaches of Malibu, the wine country of Napa, the mountains of Big Sur, and (our personal favourite) the deserts of Palm Springs. So, this weekend, the entire editorial team (all 10 of us!) took a little journey.

We made the two-hour drive to the city of Palm Springs, where we partook in a little editorial retreat; essentially, we sat by the pool, enjoyed delicious food, and experienced the best Palm Springs has to offerall in about 24 hours. Keep scrolling to see what we got into this weekend in Palm Springs!

Disclosure: Some of the experiences we had in Palm Springs were graciously provided by the Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism.

Our home for the weekend was a sprawling estate on East Avenida Olancha, where, upon arrival, our team was greeted by this eye-catching yellow door.

The midcentury-modern compound featured, of course, that unmistakable staple of any Palm Springs property: a gorgeous swimming pool.

Palm trees, fountains, and mysterious walkways, oh my!

We spent our first afternoon in Palm Springs cooking out, lounging by the pool, and getting to know each other a bit better. (And taking photos, of course.)

For dinner Saturday night, we ordered in delicious pizza from Birba, a local Italian spot. Yum!

Sunday morning, we all made it out of bed at a resonable time to grab a quick breakfast and coffee before heading to the Palm Springs Tramway. Picture an 80-person car suspended by a single cable swinging 8500 feet above the earth. Yeah, we were all a bit nervousbut the views were absolutely stunning.

After taking in the vistas above Palm Springs, we headed back down to enjoy a delectable brunch at Workshop Kitchen & Bar, a trendy local spot known for its industrial-inspired décor and divine nibbles. This goat cheese–stuffed half avocado, baked and topped with honey and almonds, was a real hit among our editors.

No sun-filled trip to Palm Springs is complete without a visit to The Parker, undoubtedly one of the city's most luxurious and beautiful hotel properties. More pool time and soaking in the midcentury-modern vibes are certainly in our future—we'll be back, Palm Springs!
