21 New-In Pieces From COS, Arket & H&M That Have My Full Attention

I don't know about you, but during this strange transitional period where we float between seasons, I've found I pretty much wear the same three outfits on rotation. Don't get me wrong, rewearing styles is an overarching goal of mine, to make the most of my purchases and allow each piece a long life in my wardrobe. But the reason I was rewearing the exact same looks is that some key styles were missing from my capsule wardrobe. Now, with the start of a new season in sight, I'm determined to start filling those gaps and revitalising my trusty outfit rotations. Thankfully, the high-street is one step ahead of me.

When scouring the high street for new-in styles there are a few things to consider. First things first, does it have a place in my wardrobe? Finding a great piece is one thing, but it only becomes a worthwhile purchase if you know that it suits your personal aesthetic, and will therefore be something you choose to take the tags off of. Second, will it stand the test of time? I like to really think about whether I'll be able to wear it for other occasions and events, or if I'll want to pull it out next year (and the year after that). Finally, I like to hunt for items that look well beyond their price tag. Not only is that great for my bank balance, but also means that they probably include some timeless, classic elements or clever design that will ensure I want to pull them out of my wardrobe time after time. Lucky for us, COS, Arket and H&M have come through with a plethora for polished styles that would have everyone second guessing their high street origins.
