The Secret Place Fashion Editors Are Now Shopping for Sustainable Clothing
As much as we fiercely champion sustainable fashion and celebrate our love of vintage clothing, we can't deny that finding eco-friendly brands is often tricker than it seems. Of course, the landscape has improved dramatically over the last couple of years, with the likes of Veja hitting the mainstream, but you've generally still had to be in the know to sniff out them out. Until now.
E-commerce behemoth Net-a-Porter has just announced the launch of Net Sustain, also known as an expertly curated collection of—you've guessed it—chic and sustainable fashion brands. All the cool up-and-comers are there, from Ninety Percent's elevates staples and Veja's viral sneakers to Mara Hoffman's holiday-ready buys to E.L.V. Denim's denim designs. It's so much sustainable goodness all in one place.
We've lost count of the number of pieces we've added to our wish lists. Highlights include Maggie Marilyn's achingly cool ruffled silk maxi dress, which would be perfect for a summer wedding. Stella McCartney's faux-leather mules are also on our list and are sure to go with everything from denim to midi dresses. We also have to give a shoutout to Wwake's multi-stone choker, which is guaranteed to make any white shirt look 10 times more stylish.
Hopefully, it's only a matter of time before other fashion platforms jump on the bandwagon and make eco-friendly wares more readily available to the shopping public, but this is certainly a good start. Scroll down to see and shop our full edit.
