30% of Brides Are Requesting This Revealing Wedding Dress Trend

Naked wedding dresses. Yep. It's a thing. Now, we're not talking going completely starkers for your big day, but some recent data from one of the biggest wedding dress brands around has revealed something very interesting about this trend. Grace Loves Lace has found that the near-see-through wedding dress is gaining in popularity. According to the Australian label, it's seen an uplift in brides "venturing outside the traditional matching of lining to lace, and going for the nude tone by over 30% in the last 12 months."

Founder Megan Ziems says that the reason brides are being more adventurous is because they've transformed the way in which they think about dressing for their nuptials. Instead of it being a rule-driven process (e.g., you have to wear a white dress), it's become more about an extension of your usual style.

So what kind of brides are they seeing opting for this type of gown? "The nude tone lining is definitely for the more adventurous and untraditional woman," revealed Megan, "and also a great second dress option for the reception or after-party."

Grace Loves Lace Alexandra Gown (£2090)

The dress being requested from Grace Loves Lace is the Alexandra, which is a high-neck exposed-back gown that usually has a white lining to match the outer layer, but now is being asked for with the nude lining. Would you be brave enough to try it out for your wedding? While you might not feel ready for the above dress, perhaps some of the below lace gowns would cut it.
