We Love This Cool, Affordable Brand Just as Much as We Love Zara

NA-KD has over 3.12 million followers on Instagram, so we’re not entirely sure we’d call it our best-kept secret. But compared to Zara’s 572 million, it definitely still falls into the lesser-known category. When we asked our non-fashion friends, hardly any of them were familiar with the affordable brand, so we wanted to take a second to shout about it. If you’re not already a loyal fan, what you’re missing out on is a serious gold mine of inexpensive, chic and understated pieces perfect for building up your wardrobe of basics.

Minimalists, listen up because this one’s for you. Yes, there are some brighter, more out-there pieces on the site (and a great partywear selection for any upcoming events), but what really shines from NA-KD are its simple, pared-back styles. Spotted on the coolest girls, from Hannah Lewis, fashion director at Threads, to Amaka Hamelijnck, a Dutch and Nigerian influencer, it’s the perfect option when you want expensive-looking simple outfits that don’t break the bank.

So what should you be looking out for in particular? Well, personally, we love the taloring, which has that relaxed, designer feel to it, and most of the blazers come in at under £70. It does some of the best wide-leg tailored trousers we’ve found, which work perfectly paired with its trend-led knitwear, dresses and tops (think cut-out bodies and barely there cardigans). Even the accessories are impressive.

It’s also good to note that, although being affordable and doubtless not perfect, the brand takes a positive stance on sustainability with clearly marked "more sustainable" shopping options, a pre-loved section, climate-compensated shipping and returns, and many of its pieces made using organic and recycled materials.

If you’ve exhausted the Zara website, then keep scrolling to shop our favourite pieces from NA-KD right now. You won’t regret it.

1. TOPS

A crisp white linen shirt will be one of the hardest working pieces in your spring/summer wardrobe. Wear with wide-leg trousers, denim, shorts and over dresses or swimwear.

The fit of this striped shirt is perfect.

How pretty is the open back on this linen top? I also love the ruffled sleeves.

Nail double denim with this dark-wash shirt.

A one-shoulder top looks so good with wide-leg trousers or loose-fitting jeans and heels on a night out.

2. TROUSERS & SKIRTS

Why yes, I will be copying this entire outfit over the Bank Holiday weekend.

This whole outfit caught my attention, but I especially love these jeans. They also come in black, cream and a light-wash denim.

I just know this satin maxi will become a wardrobe staple. Wear it with heels and a blazer, a chunky knit and boots or a t-shirt and sandals.

These wide-leg linen trousers come in 8 colours, including this chic beige hue.

3. BLAZERS & COATS

This linen trench coat, which is part of the Josefine Hj X NA-KD collab, is just so chic.

A pink suit might not be top of our wish list for SS23, but looking at this duo made me realise just how versatile it can be.

I'm seeing this over a simple white tee and blue jeans look.

Fans of minimalist fashion might default to black and white, but browns and beiges look just as polished all year round.

Trenches really come into their own this time of year.

4. DRESSES

This beautiful midi dress will become a summer hero. Wear with a blazer over your shoulders and strappy sandals for an easy yet chic 'fit.

Add chunky sandals for a spring look that is bound to impress.

This pretty pale blue style caught my eye.

A linen mini dress works for the office, weekend and an evening out.

Another versatile knitted dress that will work hard for you all year round.

5. ACCESSORIES

Comfy and cool, what more could you want?

Roomy enough for all your essentials without being too bulky when worn as a cross-body bag.

These simple black heels are bound to go with nearly everything in your wardrobe.

These will be my most worn summer shoe.
