Ask any stylish person which bag they use the most, and we guarantee it will meet the following criteria: something with a longer, crossbody strap that allows for unfussy, daily wear; a chic, timeless style and finish that doesn't try too hard; a roomy piece that will hold the essentials without feeling too giant; and a premium, durable material that withstands regular usage while remaining polished, neat, and sophisticated. When you find the holy grail of bags, you'll never think twice about which bag to throw on every morning. And for us, the quest is over. Mulberry's new addition, The Sadie, ticks all the boxes. Our fashion hearts have skipped a beat.

The newly launched line of Sadie satchels has a style for every discerning shopper. There are more unusual colourways like meadow green (think of a lush, acidic grass hue) and cloud (the dreamiest of blues) for those who want their handbags to bring a little extra pizzazz to their outfits. But there are also classic shades within this chic line-up, like white, tan and black. Whether you go bold or subdued, each of these bags will withstand the test of time. As with so many of Mulberry's key bag styles, the Sadie line-up includes different sizing options. If you like to travel light, then a Small Sadie Satchel is compact but still surprisingly cavernous. For those of us who prefer the everything-but-the-kitchen-sink route, a regular-sized Sadie will do very nicely.

Along with a bucketload of practical characteristics, the little details on this satchel really captured our attention. The gold Typography Lock (which was created in honour of the brand's 50th anniversary) is subtle, but it speaks volumes to those eagle-eyed people in the know. The fastening matches the ring detailing on the satchel's side. And the combination of its curved shape and thick crossbody strap give it a vintage, heirloom-style feel that's both unique and useful. It's the perfect satchel for retro lovers and modernists alike.

Additionally, Mulberry's Sadie comes with some impressive sustainability credentials. For example, the quintessentially British satchel shape is crafted from smooth, silky leather sourced exclusively from European tanneries with a Gold Standard rating.

In fact, we can't think of a better bag to suit autumn's overarching trend of everyday elegance. Our only problem is that we can't decide which colour to choose. Keep scrolling to see and shop all of Mulberry's Sadie Collection.
