Miu Miu's New It Bag, According to Every Major Model, Everywhere

Miu Miu is never short of must-haves: take those ribbon-tied ballet pumps and stilettos that are still notching up more shoefies than many others in the designer footwear realm. But now it’s the brand’s bags' turn to take to the stage and soak up that spotlight; and, in particular we’re talking about the fashion house’s key style for A/W 16: the Dahlia.

A natty little satchel, the Dahlia hit the runway in its most lavish iteration: smattered in jewellery and micro in size, and we fell instantly in love. Now it’s arriving in stores, and you’ll find that although the sparkle is still very much present, the Dahlia comes in pretty practical forms too—larger sizes, plus tan, black and white leathers that could well be primed for a spot in your everyday It-bag collection.

Those are the carry-me-everywhere styles that have been so keenly adopted by the moment’s most influential models. Taylor Hill has a larger Dahlia in tan. Gigi joins her. Bella opted for a bright toothpaste-white version to punctuate her signature all-black going-out ensembles. And the list goes on. Yes, there are now a multitude of It bags on offer, but we have a feeling that when a tempting aesthetic collides with a fully functional handbag such as this (because, let’s face it, not all handbags are born ergonomically equal, and when you’re spending top dollar you want some mileage), a stampede is not far away.

So, to get first dibs on the Dahlia, scroll through the gallery to see the Miu Miu favourite in action then shop it for yourself.

Style Notes: Emily Ratajkowski opted for a roomier version in tan—perfect for running errands and hitting that Sunday flower market.

Style Notes: Gigi Hadid ups the ladylike potential of her cargo jacket with the simple addition of a sleek shoulder bag and pointed courts.

Style Notes: Throw it on with your favourite ripped jeans and see how heads turn. Irina Shayk knows the deal.

Style Notes: Taylor Hill has obviously been conversing with Gigi, and the cargo jacket and Dahlia bag formula seems to be a popular one.
