All the Australian Brands We'd Love to See Meghan Markle Wear

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's epic two-week trip to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga is officially underway, and with the news of Meghan's pregnancy announced today, it's set to be an eventful one. The purpose of their first official royal tour as husband and wife is to focus on youth leadership, environmental and conservation efforts, and the recovery and rehabilitation of servicemen and women through the Invictus Games (held on October 20 in Sydney).

With a jam-packed schedule, we're expecting endless outfit inspiration to come our way, courtesy of the Duchess (particularly now we know that she'll be navigating a growing baby bump) and if Princess Diana's 1983 Australian tour outfits are anything to go by, Meghan's outfits are destined to leave a lasting impression.

It’s no secret that Meghan has a knack for introducing the world to more under-the-radar brands. Before deleting her Instagram account earlier this year, she often posted her love for then under-the-radar Australian jewellery brand Natalie Marieso we’re expecting some more unexpected designers to pop up in her suitcase.

Scroll down to see the obvious and unexpected designers we hope Meghan will step out in.

CAMILLA AND MARC

Meghan has stepped out in Camilla and Marc in the past, which puts it right at the top of our list of likely contenders. Her last Camilla and Marc choice was decidedly safe, so we'd love to see her in something a little more unexpected from the brand.

LEE MATHEWS

For her travels to Dubbo and Fraser Island, we can picture Meghan in something a little more relaxed, like Lee Mathews. And beyond the label's use of natural fibers and feminine designs, it focuses on regular support for not-for-profit organisations aiming to improve social welfare. Bang on brand for a Princess.

DION LEE

Dion Lee is one of Australia's most critically acclaimed designers. We'd love to see Meghan wear one of his sculptural yet fluid pieces, in a striking colour.

ALBUS LUMEN

Albus Lumen, created by fashion stylist Marina Afonina, draws strength from its detailed minimalism. Going by what we've seen Meghan step out in in the past, we have a feeling she'd love the subtle details of Albus Lumen—contrast stitching, tortoiseshell buttons and luxurious fabrics.

RYLAN

Rylan, created by fashion influencer Brooke Testoni, is built upon the idea of being defined by memories. Rylan recalls beauty from the past to create timeless pieces for the woman today. What better way for Meghan to commemorate her time in Sydney than with a timeless satchel.

KARLA SPETIC

We'll never forget Meghan's second wedding dress—created by eco-conscious designer Stella McCartney. Karla Spetic has a strong focus on creating a sustainable future for the fashion industry, which makes it the perfect brand for Markle.

DINOSAUR DESIGNS

From its humble beginnings at Sydney's Paddington Markets over 30 years ago, Dinosaur Designs has gone on to be worn by the likes of Elle Macpherson and Chloë Sevigny. Dinosaur Designs is an iconic Australian brand with deep history. We'd love to see Meghan wear these earrings with a sleek pony.
