The Perfect M&S Jacket That Has Remained Under the Radar This Winter

Marks and Spencer is one of those high-street stores that is so good at delivering wardrobe heroes that look 10 times their actual price, whether it's winter boots, midi dresses or classic knits. This season, however, it was a particular jacket that piqued my interest. Coming in a wool-mix fabric with a wintry plaid print and stylish fringing, this jacket had me hooked from the moment I saw it. I knew that I had to wear it for our winter-coats shoot.

It's not always a given that high-street coats will look as good IRL, but I'm happy to report that this jacket passed the test with flying colours. The fit is quite boxy, so I decided to cinch with a black belt. However, thanks to its light fabric, I think it would also look fab worn loose and layered under a roomier coat. For this reason, I would also say it's not so good for freezing temperatures, but you could easily size up and fit a chunky jumper underneath. I'm wearing a small in the photo (I'm usually a UK 8 to 10), and I liked the way it hung, but petite people might want to size down.
