When we say you’re going to want to act fast if you love this Mango jacket as much as we do, we mean it. Normally we wouldn’t encourage impulse shopping, as we’re reticent to use the words "sellout” if it’s not legit. Usually, we advise you think long and hard before each purchase, imagining how it works with your existing wardrobe and how much wear you’ll actually get out of it. Every so often, a high-street wonder piece comes along, though, that barely hits the shop floor (or website) before it flies out again, and to get in on the action, you’ve got to be quick. Cases in point: the COS crossbody bag and Arket’s striped jumper. Mango’s Appliqués Faux-Fur Coat is the latest rarity that sits in this category.

There’s a clear pattern across all of these pieces: They look way more expensive than their high-street origins would suggest—the kind of expensive where they wouldn’t look out of place on a runway. Mango’s beautiful faux-shearling jacket clearly fits the bill with its elevated design, contrasting faux-leather trims and toggle button fastenings. It will obviously be a joy to pull out year after year to elevate all your favourite leggings and knits.

The jacket in question actually went on sale back in 2022, and immediately piqued the interest of our editors and, it seemed, all the best-dressed people we know on Instagram. By the time we all came to buy it, it had completely sold out—and so like the committed fashion people we are, we signed up for notifications and began the wait. Just when we had almost given up hope, Mango’s stock team must have heard our new-season 2023 wardrobe wishes because when we checked this morning we were blessed with a restock of all sizes. And, if that wasn't good enough, this year it is also available in a gorgeous khaki shade and a brand-new super chic black.

So think on it, please, but maybe think quickly. Keep scrolling to shop the jacket and more beautiful Mango coats. (They’re really good this season.)
