5 Items Every London Girl Has in Her Autumn Wardrobe

We Brits are well accustomed to cooler climes, so we don’t consider it bragging when we say we’re experts at dressing for autumn. If you’re anything like the entirety of the Who What Wear UK office, chances are you’ve already started to dig out your favourite jumpers and coats and are even considering dusting off those black opaques.

However, before you get ahead of yourself, we suggest making the most of this in-between period… We consulted with some of our favourite influencers to bring you an edit of the nine pieces every woman really needs to kick-start her autumn wardrobe. From the new take on co-ords to It shoes that will look the chic part on trans-seasonal nights out, keep scrolling to shop the ultimate capital-inspired capsule.

1. Snake-Print Outerwear

Leopard-print coats were big news in 2018, but now it's all about python-inspired motifs in delectable shades of caramel, honey and chocolate.

2. Trapeze Tops

Cecilie Bahnsen is solely responsible for putting oversized silhouettes back on the fashion map. While the magical dresses are the stuff of dreams, the top iteration proves much more wearable. Wear with jeans or leather trousers (keep scrolling).

3. Lots of Lilac

It's set to be autumn's biggest colour trend, and London girls are certainly backing the lilac look. Tap into the trend with a pair of statement shoes or go all out with a maxi dress like Karina.

4. Wide-Leg Leather Trousers

As previously mentioned, leather trousers are a firm staple in any fashion girl's autumn wardrobe. In 2019, they should be of the wide-leg variety to give a slouchy, effortless finish.

5. Roll-neck Jumper Dresses

We like midi dresses and we like roll-necks, so naturally, we love roll-neck midi dresses. Stick to a palette of olive, camel and grey. Style with patent boots for an expensive-looking ensemble.

Next, these three pairs of high-street ankle boots are already selling like crazy.
