All the Best Designer Brands Are Doing This Flashy '90s Shoe Trend
Every season, fashion critics will declare that the trend for logos has reached its zenith and is on a fast decline. It’s been over five years since high fashion brought this kind of loud branding back from the dead, and it’s definitely not slowing down.
We started with motif-splashed tees, and now can we see that every single part of a wardrobe can be splashed with logos. Following a renaissance of monogrammed bags such as Fendi or Dior in 2018, designers have moved onto footwear. No pair of sneakers would be complete without its requisite tick or name or trademark, but now, all types of shoes (primarily quite fancy ones) are the canvas for showcasing your brand loyalty. From boots and mules to sandals and sneaks, certain fashion houses are leaving no part of a shoe unturned. Forget quiet luxury—this flashy trend is equal parts ironic (conspicuous and ’90s-inspired) and Instagrammable (nothing says “Prada” like something with Prada logos quite literally printed all over it).
So if pledging your designer allegiance or delving even further into retro-ironic fashion is your jam, keep scrolling to shop the key pieces from the current logo trend.
These have been styled with socks in all Chloé imagery, and I’m down with that.
