Everyone Keeps Asking Me Where These High-Street Boots Are From

When it comes to shoes and boots, my approach has always been finding one pair that goes with everything and wearing them until they fall apart. This is, unsurprisingly, easier said than done, but every now and then a game-changing style comes along that ticks all the boxes. This season, it was a platform pair from high-street hero Kurt Geiger. Ever since I got them, I have worn them almost every day with everything from miniskirts and jeans to midi skirts and dresses, and I get so many questions about where they are from.

While I have been ambivalent about the chunky-boot trend, this pair has surprised me by how easy they are to style. Perhaps it's because they sit just above the ankle, meaning they aren't as statement-y as some of the calf-grazing fits. There's also the fact that they're super comfy and not as rigid as I expected. And of course, you just can't go wrong with the black colourway, which works with pretty much everything in my wardrobe. Also, it's worth noting that I decided to remove the embellished cuff to keep my outfits simple, but the boots can look just as good with it on. Scroll down to see all the ways I've worn them in the last month. Plus, shop the boots themselves.

Chunky boots make for an unexpectedly perfect pairing for a miniskirt.

For a low-key weekend look, just add chunky boots to jeans and a belted shacket.

Long skirts can be tricky to style, but platform-sole boots give the elevation needed to complete the look.
