Katie Holmes Just Ditched Her Jeans for These Trending Trousers

We've been documenting Katie Holmes's looks for some time now. Ever since she wowed everyone with that cardigan-and-bra Khaite set, we've been tracking her casual out-and-about outfits. Most often, she likes to wear jeans and a tee with loafers or a smart coat when the weather is cooler and with Birkenstocks when it's summer. But this week, the actress ditched her trusty denim in favour of something more fashion-forward for 2021: pleated trousers. 

The look, which I'd argue originated with The Row, has transformed from stuffy suit styling to casual coffee-run chic. Holmes paired her dusty-pink versions with Gucci loafers and a white shirt, which is an ideal summer outfit if we ever saw one. (So much loose material is great on a hot day.) The good news is that it's not just high-end designers that stock these trousers right now but also more affordable brands, which is proof that a trend has really taken off.
