F/W 11 Fashion

While it still feels like summer here on the West Coast, I couldn't be more excited to start dressing for fall! This time around my runway inspirations are vast-and include Celine, Prabal Gurung, Balenciaga, The Row, and Givenchy-which means I will be experimenting with a bunch of different looks this season. While I typically reach for sleek, classic items, I plan to spice it up a bit and splurge on a few trendy, of-the-moment pieces that will give my mostly neutral wardrobe a fun twist. That could be anything from a pair of fashion-forward ankle boots to a petite leopard-print bag, or even throwing in a neon accent or two. (I recently wore a pair of hot pink Satine pants at NYFW!) Per usual, you can also find a few of the year-round essentials in my closet, like big, dark, cat-eye sunglasses, which add just the right amount of sophistication and polish to a layered winter look, and of course, a great pair of jeans; currently, I'm obsessed with a cool, '90s-inspired style from the denim gurus at MiH. And though I don't like to fill my wardrobe completely with seasonal trends, I do plan on nodding to some of my favourites via a ruffled collar or menswear-inspired outerwear. As for fall beauty, I'll be following the tides and swapping spring and summer's bright nail polish for darker shades, as they go with pretty much everything! Basically, this season offers an array of exceptional items I can't way to try, so be sure to click through my fall picks and let me know which pieces are your favourites!
