Kate Middleton Just Wore a Zara Jumper for Her First Video Call

Offices around the world are now hosting all of their meetings on Zoom and Google Hangouts, and yesterday the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had their first virtual royal visit. William and Kate joined students and teachers at Casterton Primary Academy—a school that is close to Burnley General Hospital and is teaching the children of key workers so that they can continue to work on the frontline.

The royals have always been very strategic with their wardrobe choices, using their outfits to reflect the nature of their visit or convey a message, and they are clearly still sticking to these tactics over video conference. Kate seemed to reach for the brightest colour she could find in her wardrobe, wearing a jolly orange jumper from Zara. The jumper is now sold out but was previously available for £30. "Dopamine dressing" is a phrase we keep seeing this week—a technique where you wear bright colours and prints as a small mood-booster.

According to fashion site Lyst, searches for statement earrings have increased since the outbreak, as they’re up 40% over the past seven days. Kate has also approached this Zoom styling trick, as she wore a pair of her favourite earrings by Catherine Zoraida.
