Trust Me—Buy These 20 Things

As a shopping editor, it's my job to stay abreast of all the comings and goings in the world of fashion and style (the clue's in the name). This means keeping an eagle eye on the new-in sections of our favourite high-street and high-end brands, and relaying the latest intel back to our readers. I'm the middle (wo)man who is hopefully making your life that little bit easier when it comes to deciding what to add to your basket.

Unsurprisingly, a side-effect of my job is that I have a permanent—and ever-shifting—wish list whirring around in my mind. I am, however, trying to shop more mindfully this season, so that means things tend to sit on this list for a while before I decide whether I really need it and if it will still love it in 12 months' time.

So what's caught my eye this month? I am an unashamed autumn fashion fanatic, so currently I feel like a kid in a candy store, enjoying all the woollen knits, chunky boots and tailored coats that are flooding the stores. Highlights include Mango's statement shoulder knit, which is such a fun twist on the classic cable knit.

I've also been looking for an autumn-ready wedding guest dress, and the answer to my prayers came in the form of Topshop Boutique's stunning printed silk midi. There are also plenty of cold-weather staples that'll keep you snug all winter long. Scroll down to shop my edit.

Now those are what I call power shoulders.

A perfect pink to pair with neutral separates.

Can never say no to a elevated white shirt.

A slim-fit top will look fab with wide-leg trousers.

I'm always looking for unusual prints on the high street.

I would style this with jeans and chunky boots for chic weekend look.

Mango is killing it in the heritage fabrics stakes.

The new high-street brand everyone is talking about.

If it isn't obvious, I live in knee-high boots all autumn.

So into this trouser shape right now.

Finally, I've found the perfect autumn wedding-guest dress.

This will layer nicely over everything you own.
