They're An Investment—But These Are the Best Knee-High Boots I've Ever Tried

It sometimes feels like you could spend forever searching for the perfect wardrobe heroes. The perfect white T-Shirt, the perfect pair of jeans, the perfect cashmere jumper… it can get exhausting. But when you find those pieces, and start building your ultimate capsule wardrobe— it seriously pays off. You end up with an edit of really special pieces you’ll wear forever and that make getting dressed every morning much easier. Some of those items can absolutely be found on the high street, like this Arket T-shirt, and some it’s worth investing in, to avoid having to buy twice (or more).

Knee-high boots, I’m here to argue, are one of those things. Mainly because it's important for them to be excellent quality in order to last, but also because they’re a perennial. They’re position in fashion’s most-wanted list may fluctuate depending on the exact year or season but they’ll always be a classic footwear choice, making them a smart forever investment. They’re flattering, chic and also practical, and can make any outfit look expensive. As we’ve seen over the past couple of years they can come in many trend-led forms— western style, flat and chunky, riding boots— but if you’re looking for timeless, nothing beats a leather, heeled knee-high boot.

And if, like me, you’ve spent countless hours searching for the perfect pair— you’re in luck, because I'm here to reveal that Jimmy Choo’s current selection is the closest you're going to get. They come in an array of buttery-soft shades, heel-heights and styles, from a classic black stiletto-heeled pair to chunky flat knee-highs, and a cool blue style to tan riding boots. Importantly, the calf width on Jimmy Choo's knee-high boots is also majorly flattering— neither too wide nor too slim against the leg which means they'll work really well under dresses and over jeans.

These features may sound pernickety but when you’re spending £1000 plus on a pair of boots they better be perfect down to the last detail, right? Well, that’s what you get with Jimmy Choo's beauties, and I couldn’t recommend them more. Keep scrolling to shop my favourite pairs from Jimmy Choo’s timeless knee-high offering.
