Jennifer Lopez Is Singlehandedly Bringing Back Wedges

We might be inching towards autumn, but Jennifer Lopez is very much in a summer mindset. In Italy with boyfriend Alex Rodriguez, J.Lo was the picture of vacation chic in Club Monaco Braynna Trousers (£161). The American brand is also a favourite of none other than Meghan Markle, who recently wore a Club Monaco dress on her birthday and also wore the brand on the red carpet prior to her engagement and the royal wedding.

Earlier in her trip, Lopez also wore a pretty Dolce & Gabbana lace dress along with an interesting shoe trend that caught our eye: sky-high platform wedges by Prada. She also added stack wedges to ensure her new wide-leg trousers didn't drag along the ground. While many A-listers are backing midi heels or strappy stilettos right now, she isn't the only celeb advocating for the shoe trend this summer. Dakota Johnson also made platform wedges look stylish with jeans and a lacy tank top recently, proving that they can definitely work beyond your vacation. With not one but two stamps of approval from A-listers, is it only a matter of time before the almost-forgotten shoe trend comes back again? Scroll down to see Lopez's best Italy vacation outfits.

Erin Fitzpatrick
Senior News Editor

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 12 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of senior news editor (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
