I'm a Fashion Editor—Here Are 7 Jeans-and-Sandals Outfits That Are Inspiring Me

I’ve been trying to work out the perfect outfit to wear as we enter summer. I’ve tried relaxed shirting and wide-leg trousers, I’ve tried dresses with trainers, and I’ve tried full-on suits—I’m usually a big tailoring fan. But the pairing I keep coming back to again and again is my trusty jeans-and-sandals outfit.

It just works for so many occasions, and will be more and more handy as temperatures continue to rise over the coming weeks. I find that you can mix it up within the jeans and sandals categories to create so many different looks with this simple combo. Then, just add a top that works for whatever you’re doing that day. Whether you opt for baggy jeans, platform sandals and a tank top or straight-leg jeans, leather slides and a pretty top, you probably already own the pieces you need to make a great jeans-and-sandal outfit.

Sometimes the hardest part of getting dressed is finding inspiration for outfit combinations, even with an easy pairing like jeans and sandals. And since I expect to lean on this look so much this summer, I took it upon myself to start saving some great examples that my favourite influencers have put together to copy. Below, you’ll find the ones I’ve been styling up the most, and I’ve shopped them out, too, just in case you’re missing any items from a look that you love.

Keep scrolling to see and shop the best jeans-and-sandals outfits for wearing right now and into the summer months.
