4 Trending Denim Outfits You'll Practically Live in This Autumn

Sponsor Content Created With Hollister

A good pair of jeans can help you unlock endless outfit potential. Versatile and undeniably timeless, jeans are one of the hardest-working items in your wardrobe. And although they're undoubtedly a year-round staple, we believe that jeans really come into their own in the autumn months. They're cosy and cool, and you can throw them on with practically anything you own to wear just about anywhere.

While certain jean styles are proven to have longer life spans than others (straight-leg denim continues to dominate the fashion agenda), 2021 has served up more throwback jean trends than any previous year, reminding us that we can (and should) have some fun with our denim. And handily, we know just the place to get your jean fix this season.

Hollister is a brand that's been edging onto our radar over the past few seasons. Though it's always been the place to go to invest in preppy staples like plaid shirts, pleated skirts, and collegiate knitwear, the American label has been seriously trending of late. Leading the '90s and Y2K style charge with its endless array of preppy but stylish wares, Hollister has become a go-to for fashion types. And for autumn, Hollister has created jeans that tick off every major trend going, including extended sizes available in a variety of fits. (Keep an eye out for its Curvy edit.) Naturally, we felt it was only right to share them with you.

Loose-fitting jeans have been a major player this year, and their popularity is continuing to soar as we head into the autumn months. It'll please you to know that Hollister has already mastered the art of wider-stride denim. We've also seen the return of ripped jeans, but instead of rips that make you look as if you've been mauled by a jungle cat, Hollister's tears are strategically positioned and deliberately streamlined to ensure your look remains chic. And finally, flares have also received a fashion homecoming over the last few months, with designers including Dior and Celine adding the retro silhouette to their A/W 21 collections. That said, you needn't have a designer budget to get in on the '70s action—Hollister has the perfect flares ready and waiting.

Below, we've worked out precisely how we want to wear each pair of Hollister's on-trend jeans this autumn. Scroll on to see our favorite buys from its new collection and the four denim outfits we'll be living in for the foreseeable future.

1. RIPPED

Style Notes: When it comes to selecting jeans, it's easy to reach for blue colourways, assuming you'll get the most wear out of them. However, black jeans are equally reliable and can often look dressier. Wear these ripped iterations with a Western belt and a checked shacket to play into 2021's trending cowgirl look.

Style Notes: If you don't like skinny jeans, then we think you're going to love these flares. This style is particularly adored by French women whose looks regularly pay homage to the '70s. We recommend wearing these bell-bottoms with an oversized shirt and a bra top for a fresh look.

3. LOOSE

Style Notes: Perhaps the biggest denim trend of 2021, loose-fitting jeans might be everywhere right now, but that doesn't mean it's easy to find the perfect pair. Cue Hollister's offering: With perfectly-positioned pleats and a high-rise fit, these jeans are flattering and ten times chicer than the pairs you wore in your teens. For more of a '90s look, wear them with a denim jacket (this two-tone option looks so premium), a cable knit, and a cap.

4. STRAIGHT

Style Notes: If you're a classicist, then we're willing to bet you're already on board with straight-leg jeans. We find vintage-style washes always look great on this fit, and Hollister's faded blue hue is just about the closest thing you'll get to a genuine pre-loved pair. Wear these with a knitted top and matching cardigan, which are still proving key for autumn.
