The Chic £28 H&M Dress All Our Editors Own Is Finally Back in Stock
Comfy, flattering and seriously expensive-looking—it’s no surprise H&M’s winning draped dress flew out of stock within days of landing on site last year. Missed out the first time around? Don't worry, it's is back in black and cream in all sizes (they range from a size XS to XXL), just in time for a new year wardrobe refresh.
The dress in question? It’s H&M’s simple yet incredibly elegant £28 Draped Jersey Dress. It’s a sleeveless midi with a crew neck and subtle ruching on the body that flatters in all the right places—you can even wear a bra with it. The best part, though, is the super-soft jersey material, which is really nice and thick without being heavy, and it's double lined on the bust. It drapes beautifully and looks and feels like it should be much more expensive than it is.
All of H&M’s latest drops have been so good, involving lots of elevated wardrobe staples with a minimalist aesthetic. But this dress, in particular, caught the eyes of all our editors, and within minutes of it being shared in our Slack channels, we all had it in our baskets. After trying it, we can confirm that it’s darn near perfect, especially for wearing to the office since it looks great with a low heel and a smart handbag and even layered up with a roll neck, blazer and boots for colder days. The relaxed jersey fabric also means it works at home or on the weekends with trainers and a woven bag or leather crossbody.
Keep scrolling to see how we’ve styled it, shop the dress and browse some more of our favourite H&M wardrobe staples right now.
I'm a size 10 and took a medium so it felt a little slouchier. I loved it with these H&M strappy sandals and simple blazer.
Maxine styled up the black version with chunky flats for summer, but you could also wear it with trainers and boots now.

The black iteration is so versatile. Wear with knee-high boots and a blazer or layer under a chunky cardi and add trainers.
The cream feels super fresh for the end of winter, but it will also work really well through spring and summer too.
