I Just Found the Perfect Autumn Jacket at H&M, and It's Only £40

As a self-confessed coat addict, September is, for me, the most wonderful time of the year (sorry, Christmas), as it gives me a chance to unpack old favourites and hunt around for new pieces to add to my collection. Well, I'm here to tell you that I've found the dream autumn jacket, and it only cost £40. So yes, I'm well aware that it's 25 degrees outside and I'm wearing multiple layers, and yes it did get a little sweaty on the tube this morning. But you know what? It was totally worth it because it's love at first sight.

These days I can be quite picky about adding pieces to my wardrobe and I always try to think carefully before parting with my cash, as I want to ensure I'll wear something for more than just a season—even if it is just a high-street buy. But when it came to putting together my autumn capsule, there was one clear winner: the fringed jacket.

The look is a continuation of my A/W 18 penchant for anything Wild West–inspired, and I have been fawning over these cowboy-inspired jackets for weeks now, particularly after spotting one on Monikh Dale. To make sure it had longevity in my wardrobe I asked myself: Would I buy this even if it wasn't technically in fashion? I concluded that I would, which hopefully means I'll love it long after the style disappears from Instagram feeds.

Either way, I could not recommend this jacket enough: It comes in a very convincing faux suede fabric and a flattering boxy silhouette. I also think it'll look just as good with jeans and boots (as pictured) as it will thrown over a midi dress. If that's not enough, it also comes in at a seriously budget-friendly £40. What are you waiting for?
