Congratulations are in order for Hilary Duff and record producer/musician fiancé Matthew Koma, who just tied the knot in a small pre-holiday ceremony at their home in Los Angeles. The couple got engaged earlier this year (see her gorgeous cushion-cut ring) and had a daughter together late last year.

Duff worked with her stylist Jessica Paster in choosing the designer and the settled on Jenny Packham (who works with Kate Middleton quite a bit). After months of sketches and feedback back and forth, the resulting dress is surprisingly modern and features a very on-trend detail. Duff shared the experience with Vogue (video below!), telling them, "When we were coming up with the design, it was important to me that it was striking but simple. I couldn’t imagine wearing a big fluffy dress." The form-fitting dress is made of stretch Georgette and features large shoulder pads (the aforementioned on-trend detail), which have been all over the runways in recent seasons, with a striking cape detail that forms a train.

Keep scrolling to see the gorgeous shot of the happy couple on Duff's Instagram, watch the Vogue's video of her fitting, and see more photos of the happy couple over the course of their relationship.
