If you follow street style at all, by this time you’re probably aware of Google Glass—the fashion-meets-tech accessory that lets wearers record everything they see for playback. Originally showcased on the DVF runway in September 2012, Glass has only been available to a select few invitees—until now, that is! As of today, Net-a-Porter is offering the spectacles to the general public, and with a pretty major aesthetic upgrade.
The glasses, designed by Diane von Furstenberg, naturally, are available exclusively on Net-a-Porter in five different colours: black, green, plum, brown, and white. There’s only a limited number available, and each $1,800 bundle includes the glasses (in either optical or sunglass varieties), a frame, an earbud, and a case.
“We are thrilled to offer Glass to our tech-savvy customers who are true leaders and innovators in style and lifestyle,” Natalie Massenet, Net-a-Porter founder, said in a statement. So are these frames the new Fendi monster buggies? Only time will tell.
