Suddenly, All the Coolest People Are Wearing This "Dated" Heels Trend Again

As a seasoned fashion editor, I can tell you with total confidence that the best way to bring your outfit from day to night is with the addition of glitzy gold heelsJust like their jewellery counterparts, gold shoes and accessories remain a timeless wardrobe addition. Whilst certain styles might ebb and flow in popularity, they'll always come back stronger than before—usually, every party season. This year is no different, and gold heels are back for their annual renaissance as the It shoe to shop ahead of the upcoming festivities.

Silver trousers and metallic ballet flats enjoyed a popular summer and early autumn, but now, as event season takes the helm, gold footwear is on track to be the star of the season. With the ability to whip a jeans-and-jumper pairing into a party-ready look in an instant, there's no item my dressing-up wardrobe values more than gold heels in the winter.

Whilst you might worry about colour pairings, I actually find a pair of gold heels in a light tone to be one of the most versatile items in my wardrobe, bringing an all-black outfit to life and illuminating a colourful ensemble with just as much ease.
