I'm a Gen Z fashion editor and my sister is a millennial former fashion buyer, so it's safe to say that there's a lot we agree on when it comes to style. While I write and report on the latest runway trends, most of the time, my older sister is the one buying them. We tend to disagree on our favorite artists, and we don't always understand the other's hyper-personalized TikTok #ForYou page, but our aesthetic tastes are more alike than not. So when I FaceTimed her one night to ask everything she's planning on adding to her wardrobe this spring, I wasn't shocked to find out that 99.9% of the things she wanted, I did too. Although I might be biased, I think we both have great taste.

This unlikely pattern trend was one of the first things we both knew we wanted to steal from each other's closets. While my sister loves leopard-print staple items like denim or fuzzy coats, I've been eyeing the more casual items. (Adidas x Wales Bonner pony-hair Sambas, I'm looking at you!)

Love them or hate them, mesh flats are here to stay. The Alaïa mesh ballet flats are at the tippy top of our spring 2024 shopping lists and for a valid reason. They're that good. Although you can get a similar look for less, these OGs are coming into our closets sooner rather than later.

Butter-Yellow Tones
Move over, cherry red. There's a new bright color trend in town. Introducing butter yellow, the soft, pastel hue that's sure to dominate your feed this spring. My sister and I have been loving wearing the color in simple, subtle ways to elevate any outfit. Things like soft-yellow ballet flats, blazers, and button-down shirts are all on the menu.

Ever since seeing wide headbands on the Schiaparelli runway earlier last year, we've been loving '90s-inspired wide-faced soft headbands. Instead of yoga pants and workout tops, these athleisure staples look so good with a simple outfit to add a soft, elegant touch.

Our jewelry collections are growing thanks to the vintage-inspired chunky jewelry trends on their way up. From our favorite brands like Heaven Mayhem to Jenny Bird, we can't seem to put these down.

Rivets, Grommets, and Studs
Call it the Khaite effect or the return of the early 2000s, but suddenly, all my sister and I talk about is how good studs look with everything. This simple addition to any accessory—from bags to belts—or piece makes it feel 10 times cooler in our books. If you couldn't tell, we're big fans.

Despite our high-fashion obsession, my sister and I love nothing more than simple, pull-on cozy pants. This year, we've been tracking the rise of Scandi pajama pants before they're everywhere. While we're partial to Djerf Avenue's iconic Breezy pants (we both own a pair!), there are a ton of affordable, chic options out there we're saying yes to this spring.
