As the weather really starts to turn chilly, we can’t help but quite enjoy it. If only for the reason that we can finally start cracking out our autumn clothes without sweltering. All we’re craving right now is cosiness, in our lives (hello open fires and GBBO) but also our wardrobes. It’s a good thing, then, that Free People’s new autumn collection has just dropped.

Although the brand has long been known for nailing summer beach-casual style, we’ve recently come to fall fast and hard for its loungewear sets (are you even an influencer if you don’t own one these days?), anything-but-boring knitwear and great jackets. This new ‘Collective Spirit’ collection is no different, offering plenty of this cosiness as well as ticking off many of our favourite autumn 2020 trends at the same time— win, win.

Inspired by creativity, self-expression, and adventure, these relaxed styles have a coolness about them that makes us feel a bit like we’re working from a coffee shop in Venice Beach, or a ranch in Colorado, rather than our London flats, and look, we’ll take whatever virtual travel we can get these days. Whether you’re a maximalist who will enjoy the print mixing, mood-lifting colours and crafty crochet or a minimalist after the perfect grey wool coat (trust us, it is perfect) to layer over monochrome pieces, there’s something here for us all to enjoy.

Keep scrolling, then, to see seven of our favourite autumn trends from this latest drop and shop the pieces we predict to be sell-outs before too long.
