Milan Fashion Week

Just when we thought we had seen it all-in terms of the best Fashion Week style-Milan comes along and impresses us anew! Not that we'd expect anything less from the fabulous city that is home to such prestigious fashion powerhouses as Fendi, Versace, and Dolce & Gabbana! And of course, those aren't the only hard-hitting players in this game; you simply must check out all of the S/S 12 collections (especially Gucci's '20s-inspired looks and Salvatore Ferragamo's tropical prints) right away! Off the runways, there were plenty of notable ensembles as well, courtesy of our favourite fashion insiders (Taylor Tomasi Hill and Giovanna Battaglia), an up-and-coming starlet (Felicity Jones), some of the jet-set's most stylish friends (Margherita Missoni and Eugenie Niarchos), and more! To see exactly what we mean, read on for all the details of today's Fashion Scene story!

WHO: Arizona Muse
WHAT: Hanging out before the Fendi S/S 12 show last Thursday.
WEAR: Model-of-the-moment Arizona Muse has been the talk of the fashion world recently, and her ensemble in Milan proved, yet again, why everyone loves her so. The statuesque stunner donned basic separates, including white skinny jeans and a black top, and spiced up her look with a bold Fendi fur scarf from the F/W 11 collection and a wide-brim fedora. The resulting outfit is both easygoing and directional-the perfect combo, if you ask us!

WHO: Eugenie Niarchos
WHAT: Spotted front row at the Missoni S/S 12 show on Sunday.
WEAR: One of the great things about MFW is that you can always count on Italy's most fashionable femmes to be front-row at the most esteemed shows and in attendance at the week's best parties. Case in point: the always-stylish Eugenie Niarchos! It was hard to miss the heiress at the Missoni S/S 12 show, for which she wore a bright blue maxi skirt from the fashion house's Pre-Fall 11 collection and a cropped leather jacket. And how could we forget those killer accessories? Niarchos finished her enviable ensemble with a pair of totally cute cat-eye Cutler & Gross sunglasses and two of-the-moment pendant necklaces.

WHO: Giovanna Battaglia
WHAT: Arriving at the Bottega Veneta S/S 12 show on Saturday.
WEAR: You might have noticed that there's one name in particular that consistently pops up on our fashion week best-dressed lists every season: Giovanna Battaglia-and for good reason! The style maven knows how to put together one to-die-for ensemble! While we thoroughly enjoyed her chic neutral look back at NYFW, we are definitely partial to the ensemble she wore to the Bottega Veneta S/S 12 show. The fashion editor of L'Uomo Vogue styled a brown pencil skirt with a gold lame button-up shirt (both by N21) with a pair of must-have Fendi heels for a high-impact look.

WHO: Shala Monroque
WHAT: Celebrating Bruce Weber's film, Don't Steal The Jacket, last Thursday.
WEAR: You're bound to get some attention when you're wearing head-to-toe orange-just ask Shala Monroque, who turned heads in this vintage Guy La Roche couture dress at the premiere of Bruce Weber's latest film. We adore the netted and fringed skirt, not to mention her statement necklace, which together make for one truly awe-inspiring evening outfit. The frock's bright colour and intricate detailing is no easy look to pull off, but Monroque certainly did so with aplomb!

WHO: Taylor Tomasi Hill
WHAT: Heading to the Fendi S/S 12 show last Thursday.
WEAR: It's official: Taylor Tomasi Hill is one of our biggest fashion crushes. It's not hard to imagine why when the Marie Claire Style and Accessories Director turns up in outfits like this one. We love her creative, all-black ensemble, consisting of a structured leather Comme des Garcon top juxtaposed with a flowing Alexander Wang mini skirt, which results in one intriguing look, indeed. And did we mention her fantastic strappy Alaia sandals? We're definitely crazy about those, too!

WHO: Bianca Brandolini D'Adda
WHAT: Feting the Fendi S/S 12 show at the O' Fan di Fendi party last Thursday.
WEAR: Bianca Brandolini D'Adda always manages to turn up in the most effortlessly cool outfits-it's no wonder why she's a photographer favourite! The brunette beauty recently caught our eye at a Fendi party wearing head-to-toe designs by said Italian fashion house. We approve of her gold and white striped trousers and black t-shirt with tan fringe detailing (both from the S/S 12 collection), and are particularly fond of the way she gave her neutral ensemble a hint of colour by accessorizing with Fendi's Stingray Chameleon Clutch ($4260).

WHO: Felicity Jones
WHAT: Photographed at the Dolce & Gabbana S/S 12 show on Sunday.
WEAR: Felicity Jones has been on our style radar ever since the Sundance Film Festival, so you can imagine our delight when we spotted the rising starlet-be sure to check her out in Like Crazy this fall-at the Dolce & Gabbana S/S 12 show. The British actress looked party perfect for her first FW outing, wearing a strapless, lace-print dress paired with maroon heels and a gold chain necklace (all by Dolce & Gabbana). In addition to her noteworthy clothing and accessories, we couldn't help but notice her gorgeous beauty look, which consisted of smokey eyes and a chic updo.

WHO: Margherita Missoni
WHAT: Attending the opening of the Louis Vuitton "The Art of Fashion" exhibition last Wednesday.
WEAR: Margherita Missoni showed off her incredible body at the Louis Vuitton art exhibition last week with the help of a downtown-lady ensemble, including a Missoni Pre-Fall 11 top and a Louis Vuitton knee-length pencil skirt and oversized belt. To finish her sultry and edgy look, she accessorized with a Louis Vuitton bag and heels and large Missoni bangles.-Jessica Baker, with Erin Fitzpatrick
