The 31 High-Street Pieces Our Editors Want to Buy This Spring

I hate to brag, but I do think that Who What Wear's editorial team has rather exceptional taste. Biased? Me? Never. But really, it's our job to be on top of these things and pinpoint the items that we think are actually worth the investment of your hard-earned cash. With the new season finally kicking in, we felt it was time to share the high-street wish lists that we've been carefully compiling over the last month or two.

There is a certain art to shopping the high street, and we've found that the dictum "patience is a virtue" is a helpful approach in this context. It's all about utilising the bookmark or "like" feature, which allows you to add something to a wish list that you can then peruse at your leisure. Trust us. Sometimes, time and distance can be key to not making a rushed, badly judged purchase and instead nabbing that time-tested wardrobe hero.

All of the below items are pieces our editors have personally vetted through this process, and I can confirm they all passed with flying colours. I love that each of our editors has their own unique aesthetic, from Emma's penchant for a pop of pink to Zoe's inclination towards a puffed sleeve. I have no doubt that there'll be an item that aligns with your own style. So if you fancy finding out the high-street buys we're coveting this season, simply scroll on down.

As I get so much wear out of my gold jewellery pieces, I'm forever adding to the collection because these items are worn regularly. I think this wiggly choker looks far more expensive than its £18 price tag.

I almost couldn't bring myself to share this set with you—it's that good! I'm a forever fan of gingham and checks, so when they come back into fashion, I snap them up for both now and the future. This lilac co-ord from Spanish brand Uterqüe is a real showstopper when worn together, but the puff-sleeve top would also look great styled casually with jeans or a denim midi skirt.

I'm surprised more accessories aren't made of denim. The fabric will literally go with everything you already own. High heels are out for me, and kitten-heel mules will be the way I indulge my footwear love this year.

My friends joke about my obsessive adoration of brown clothing, but that doesn't stop me from continuing to invest. This dress is divine, IMHO!

I've been looking for an elevated market shopper to lug all of my walk/picnic/outing debris in, and this not only looks roomy enough, but it's also a fun addition to plain outfits.

Rectangular and square sunglasses are the shapes of 2021, but a classic finish like black or tortoiseshell means they'll look chic for a long time to come.

I have no idea where I'm wearing these, but I love them.

There is nothing better than a linen shirt in spring and summer.

Weekday knitwear is some of the best on the high street, IMO.

I already own a few pink blouses, but I am ready to add just one more to my collection.

I don't actually own a classic trench coat, and I love that this is single-breasted. It gives me Parent Trap vibes.

I'm really into collared knits at the moment.

The patchwork detailing looks so premium on this shirt.

I want this dress in all three colours.

When it comes to summer basics, you just can't beat a tank top.

I actually already bought this one and am waiting for it to arrive. The laced-back detail is divine! It's just perfect for an al fresco dinner or park picnic.

Gingham for spring? Call me a sartorial cliché, but that won't stop me from wearing this pattern. I love the colour of this one and just know it will look perfect with every pair of jeans I own.

Here's a spring staple if I've ever seen one. I'll wear this on rotation while working from home and then over bathers at the beach (if we're ever allowed to holiday again).

I'm on the lookout for a new pair of walking shoes. Let’s hope these are as comfy as they look!

Another perfect spring dress! Can you tell I'm excited about warmer weather? I love this silhouette and the bright pop of colour.

I recently wrote an article about COS bags that could pass for designer and have had this shoulder bag on my wish list ever since.

I'm loving the '90s vibes of this minimalist leather jacket.

This geometric pair of sunnies from COS could easily be mistaken for designer.

I'm obsessed with Seventy + Mochi's sustainable denim, and these patchwork dungarees are right up my street.

I continue to be drawn to all things green this season, and this Arket top fits the bill nicely.

I'm not usually a fan of skirts, but since investing in a midi utility skirt in 2020, I've become a convert.

I wore the colourful tweed iterations of these Dune sandals all of last summer, and now, they're back in denim. Delicious.
