5 Random Colours That Are About to Be Everywhere

This fashion month at times it felt like every stylist, editor, influencer, buyer and model was only wearing one colour: beige. However, once you look past the thousands of tonal outfits in street style images, you'll spot some more random colour trends that will have you in the mood for summer.

In Copenhagen, Stockholm, London, Paris, New York and Milan, we kept spotting five jazzy colours, either worn head to toe or as a small accent to a look. This fashion month we loved the lineup of powder-blue blazers, hot-pink satin dresses, lavender knitwear and chunky coats, Kermit the Frog green tops and mustard yellow, well, everything. Keep scrolling to see our edit of the five random colours that we kept spotting this fashion month.

Baby Blue

Baby blue didn't just steal the show this fashion month, it also stole a piece of my heart. From accessories to outerwear and even simple sweaters, this colour gives any item a soft yet statement-making touch.

Hot, Hot Pink

Millennial Pink is out in favour of a bolder hue: hot pink. If you're worried about how to style it, don't be. As you're about to see, this colour goes perfectly with white, cream, red, other shades of pink and even black accessories, so consider the research phase complete.

Literal Lavender

I want you to imagine what the flowers on a sprig of lavender look like. That's what we're going for here. A bold tone that can either add to your look in the form of just one piece or make your look by way of a monochrome ensemble. Whichever way you go, you won't regret it.

Muppet Green

Arguably the scariest, but also my favourite (I think): Muppet green was everywhere this fashion month, making it impossible to ignore. And, contrary to what you might think, it's really easy to style. Just add neutrals (think beige, black and white) and more green.

Mustard Yellow

Whether you opt for a streetwear-inspired look or something sleeker such as a trench coat and trousers, mustard yellow is a colour for being seen in.

Editor-at-Large

Since starting as an intern back in 2013, Nicole Akhtarzad Eshaghpour has held several roles here at Who What Wear, and she is currently Editor-at-Large. It was a less expected route, seeing as she was graduating from business school at USC when this all began, but it has turned out to be the best one for her. Fast-forward to 2020, and she's moved to NYC from her hometown of Beverly Hills and spends her workdays a little differently from when she was an intern starting out. Currently, she focuses on a weekly mélange of shopping content. As far as her personal style goes, she's largely drawn to classic pieces and neutral basics but will always make an exception for something colorful, printed, or bejeweled as long as it's deemed worthy enough. After all, the only thing she loves more than a good party is dressing up for one. On weekdays, she can usually be found at home eating something delicious for dinner and trying to force her husband to watch 90 Day Fiancé.
