It's hard to believe, but 2023 is winding down, and we're looking ahead to the spring/summer 2024 season as fashion month comes to a close—lots to digest there. Let's just say we continue to be wowed by not only the incredible collections but also the impressive beauty looks in every city from Paris to Milan and New York.

After scoping out every runway show I could, a few trends started to emerge that I couldn't help but share. While I don't normally expect a lot in terms of beauty looks at any fashion week, I found myself pleasantly surprised this year by what designers brought to the table in that regard. Think long, luscious lashes; glossy lips; and out-of-this-world winged liner. While some of that may sound simple (read: boring), never underestimate the power of a good lash or juicy lip. They sometimes just add that *something* a look is missing. For all the best beauty looks spotted at fashion weeks across the globe, keep scrolling. I'm breaking it all down below.

Bold brows with a lot of arch were spotted at runway shows in pretty much every city. Most prominently, many shows in Paris, including Chanel, Alexander McQueen, and Miu Miu, highlighted a strong brow.

On the lips, we saw every type of bold color you can imagine. While we saw more classic reds, burgundies, and pinks on the runway at Alexander McQueen and Mugler, other designers opted for things like a chrome lip on some models (Maison Margiela) and a patent-leather black lip (Burberry).

I'd expect nothing less for the spring/summer season. Many designers opted for a fresh, naturally radiant look on the runway with minimal makeup. I'm a makeup minimalist myself, so I appreciated how the models' skin really glowed without looking like a ton of highlight was pressed into the skin. Psst, this lit-from-within glow came courtesy of Pat McGrath products at both Stella McCartney and Miu Miu.

To be perfectly honest, extra long and extra large eyeliner are not easy to pull off. We spotted everything from block eyeliner to colored and 3D wings. While a 3D wing might not be suitable (or practical) for everyday wear, you can opt for a long, colored wing any day of the week that you're feeling bold.

Various shades of pastel on the lids were particularly popular this season. Each felt fitting for spring. Shades of seafoam green, lilac, blue, and soft orange dominated multiple runways from Prada to Giorgio Armani.

I'm a huge advocate for a glossy lip. In fact, this may be a hot take, but I actually prefer wearing a gloss over a regular lipstick. It plumps up your lips and gives them a juicy sheen, and you never really have to worry about it getting on your teeth. As far as the spring/summer runways go, models in multiple cities rocked a glossy lip, but it was extra popular in Milan.

This isn't just your average cat eye. Models at Phillip Lim and Chet Lo sported a bright, colorful block-style cat eye that feels like a fresh take on this classic makeup look.

We spotted both extra-large and colored lashes on the runway this time around. Normally, I don't lean into the colored-mascara trend, but bright hues and serious volume feel appropriate for the spring/summer season.

While we always love a classic smoky eye, a subtler, more gradual version made an appearance on multiple runways. A gradual smoky eye starts lighter around the brow area and becomes darker the closer you get to the eye. Models at Tibi, Jason Wu, and Richard Quinn sported this look with a dark, smoky eye shadow as a liner.
